Glamping Dome Warranty
This Warranty Policy applies to all geodesic dome tent kits and related components supplied by Glamping Dome Store.
By purchasing and using Glamping Dome Store products, the purchaser agrees to the warranty terms and limitations described below.
1. LIMITED WARRANTY
Glamping Dome Store warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one hundred eighty (180) calendar days from the date of delivery, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.
If a defect covered by this warranty is confirmed, Glamping Dome Store may, at its sole discretion:
• repair the product
• replace the defective product or component
• supply replacement parts
Repair, replacement, or supply of replacement components constitutes the exclusive remedy available under this warranty.
2. EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS PROVIDED IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL GLAMPING DOME STORE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONTINGENT DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE PURCHASE, INSTALLATION, OR USE OF THE PRODUCTS.
3. PURCHASER INDEMNIFICATION
The purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Glamping Dome Store, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
• the purchaser’s installation of the products
• the purchaser’s possession or use of the products
• injury to persons or damage to property related to the products
4. DOME VINYL COVER WARRANTY
Clear vinyl cover elements are warranted against excessive degradation due to environmental exposure under normal conditions for a period of eighteen (18) months from the date of delivery.
This warranty applies only when the following protective measures are implemented:
• installation of shading such as military camo net, natural shading, or other structural shading over the dome structure
• installation of UV-protective sails over panoramic and skylight windows in moderate or high UV environments
• continuous operation of air-conditioning systems when temperatures exceed 77°F (25°C)
• use of approved cleaning solutions and UV protective treatments
Failure to implement these protective measures voids the vinyl cover warranty.
5. HIGH UV EXPOSURE CONDITIONS
The additional UV protection measures described above are required for installations located in:
• regions where the UV index exceeds 5 during May–August in the Northern Hemisphere or December–February in the Southern Hemisphere
• high-altitude regions exceeding 8,000 feet above sea level
6. EXTREME COLD CONDITIONS
Clear vinyl cover elements are rated for temperatures as low as -30°C (-22°F).
However, the material becomes increasingly fragile below freezing temperatures, and any physical impact may cause cracking or damage.
Damage caused by impact during freezing temperatures is not covered under this warranty.
7. MAINTENANCE VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for warranty coverage, purchasers must be able to demonstrate proper maintenance of vinyl components.
Evidence may include receipts for:
• UV protection products
• approved cleaning solutions
• shading materials such as camo netting
Failure to demonstrate appropriate maintenance may result in denial of warranty coverage.
8. PVC COVER PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
PVC covers will be considered excessively degraded only if the material experiences a loss of structural integrity or strength sufficient to prevent normal use of the product.
Normal wear, cosmetic changes, or gradual aging of materials are not considered defects.
9. STORAGE REQUIREMENTS
If dome components are stored prior to installation, the following storage conditions must be maintained:
• storage in a weatherproof environment
• protection from rodents and pests
• avoidance of direct sunlight exposure
• temperature maintained between 10°C and 20°C (50°F – 68°F)
• relative humidity maintained below 50%
When stored under these conditions, the recommended storage duration is no longer than two (2) months from delivery.
10. DOME STEEL FRAME WARRANTY
The galvanized steel frame components are warranted against excessive corrosion under normal environmental conditions for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of delivery.
11. HIGH HUMIDITY AND MARINE ENVIRONMENTS
Installations located in the following environments require additional corrosion protection:
• within 10 miles of an ocean or sea shoreline
• boreal forests
• tropical forests
• high-humidity climates
For these locations, purchasers must apply corrosion protection such as SP-400™️ Corrosion Inhibitor or equivalent to areas where minor rust appears.
Failure to perform such maintenance voids the frame corrosion warranty.
Purchasers must be able to demonstrate proper maintenance through purchase records for corrosion protection products.
12. STRUCTURAL LOAD ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By submitting a dome plan form and confirming an order, the purchaser acknowledges that they are aware of the structural loads applicable to the installation location.
Engineering calculations supplied with Glamping Dome Store products apply only to the standard dome configuration described in each product listing.
13. STRUCTURAL MODIFICATIONS
Any modification to the standard dome configuration may affect structural load capacity and performance, including:
• additional doors
• panoramic windows
• skylight windows
• stove jacks
• additional accessories
Purchasers making modifications are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable building regulations.
Where modifications are made, purchasers may obtain revised engineering reports through Glamping Dome Store engineering services.
14. STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
The structural loads indicated in Glamping Dome Store engineering reports apply only when the dome is installed on a deck platform constructed according to the minimum requirements of the Glamping Dome Store Dome Deck Guide.
Failure to follow these installation requirements may result in reduced structural performance.
15. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover damages resulting from:
• improper installation or assembly
• improper maintenance or storage
• unauthorized repairs or alterations
• misuse, negligence, or accidents
• operation contrary to installation manuals
• disassembly or reassembly of the dome structure
• extreme weather events or acts of God
• normal wear and tear occurring during installation or use
Products manufactured by third parties are covered solely by the warranties issued by those manufacturers.
16. STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY AND REPLACEMENT PARTS
To maintain structural safety and performance, replacement parts affecting the dome structure must be obtained directly from Glamping Dome Store.
Use of non-authorized parts:
• voids all engineering reports and calculated structural loads
• voids all warranties and technical support
• transfers all structural liability to the purchaser
17. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
If purchasers elect to use third-party components:
• Glamping Dome Store does not guarantee compatibility or safety
• Glamping Dome Store will not review or approve such components
• Glamping Dome Store assumes no liability for structural performance
Glamping Dome Store will not issue engineering confirmations or insurance documentation for structures assembled using unauthorized parts.
18. ACCESSORY COMPATIBILITY DISCLAIMER
Glamping Dome Store cannot guarantee compatibility between its accessories and dome structures manufactured by other suppliers.
19. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing prior to returning any components.
Claims should be sent to support@glampingdomestore.com.
